KATA BIG ROCK  is situated on the hillside next to Wat Kata (Kata Temple) in Kata on the island of Phuket Thailand. For a map of the island click here.

Turn into the Wat, turn right immediately  after the temple gate,  follow the road for about 300 m  and you will  arrive.

The sea view from Kata Big Rock is beautiful and depending on the time of the year, you may see the sunset next to the island of Koh Pu (Crab Island).

The traffic noise is barely audible on the hillside and there is always a little breeze to cool you on the warm tropical nights.
